KTH Ventures exits Evam following new investment round

KTH Ventures AB, has exited its investment in Evam, following the company’s latest financing round led by Industrifonden and Fåhraeus Startup & Growth.

The founders of Evam: Alex Hedberg, Florian Curinga and Mikael Erneberg

Evam has developed a next-generation software platform, providing police, ambulance and fire and rescue services with digital tools for navigation and incident management . The platform is used by more than 100 regions and municipalities across Sweden and the UK.

The investment round, totaling SEK 38 million, marks an important next step in Evam’s growth. The new capital will accelerate the company’s expansion in a global market undergoing a transition from fragmented legacy systems towards modern, cloud-based public safety platforms.

KTH Ventures has supported Evam from its earliest days, when the company was founded by the three KTH students Mikael Erneberg, Alex Hedberg and Florian Curinga. KTH Ventures was the company’s first investor and also provided investments in subsequent investment rounds.

“We are very proud of the journey Evam has made where the team has has built a strong position in a demanding market, and we are pleased to now realise our investment as the company enters its next phase,” says Daniel Carlsson, Investment Director at KTH Ventures.
“Evam is a great example of what we aim to achieve at KTH Ventures – supporting talented student entrepreneurs at a very early stage. We are pleased to see new long-term investors coming in to support Evam’s continued international expansion,” says Lisa Ericsson, CEO of KTH Ventures.

For KTH Ventures, the exit also demonstrates the importance of creating a pathway from early-stage investments to later-stage institutional capital. As the company has matured, new investors are now taking the lead in supporting Evam's next phase of growth, while KTH Ventures can recycle capital into new early-stage companies originating from KTH.
