KTH Ventures invests in Amun AI to unlock the value of sensitive data

KTH Ventures has invested in Amun AI AB , a KTH spin-off developing technology that enables organizations to use sensitive data for AI and advanced analysis without having to move the data outside its owner's environment.

Organizations across healthcare, life sciences, telecom, finance and research increasingly rely on data to develop new products, services and insights. However, some of the most valuable datasets are also the most difficult to share due to privacy, security and regulatory requirements. As a result, large amounts of valuable data remain difficult to use, particularly when collaboration between organizations is required.

Amun AI's technology, Safe Colab, addresses this challenge by allowing AI models and data analysis to run where the data is stored. This means organizations can collaborate and extract value from sensitive datasets without having to reveal the underlying data. Data owners can also define how their data may be used, helping them maintain control and transparency throughout the process.

Amun AI is based in Stockholm and has its roots in leading AI research at KTH. The company focuses on enabling organizations in data-intensive and regulated industries to collaborate and use AI while keeping control of sensitive data.

The technology has already been deployed in production use cases, including research and telecom. Amun AI is now developing its commercial offering for organizations that need to make greater use of sensitive data while maintaining high standards of privacy, security and data governance.
